The room was large and there was a couch.
The bed was very uncomfortable and lower quality than I would find in a Motel 6. We were on the bottom floor and the entrance to the room was through what looked like a double patio door with a curtain. When the cleaners came, them left the patio curtain open so that anyone walking by could see everything that was in our room. Not acceptable. Privacy / security should be a major concern for a hotel.
Great location for city/shopping/eating!! Beautiful area of island!! Hotel staff--great!!
Pillows/Bedding--aged!! need some tender loving care!!
The woman working at the front desk was extremely friendly and welcoming. In addition, she made sure we had breakfast before getting off to the early ferry. The rooms were very nice size.
Lights outside the rooms stay on all night
Great location, lovely staff, pleasant surroundings, nice pool, good breakfast. We loved staying there and we 'd stay there again and highly recommend it to friends.
The location was perfect and the rooms were bright and cheery.
Customer service needs significant improvement, the beds and pillows need upgrading.
Plenty of parking
Rooms need to be remodeled and painted The windows and doors have old foggy glass The room is damp and the a/c was on full blast and could not keep up The pillows where thick and firm It's set up is old motel style with the front bumper of your car is at your door
Beachside is a lovely resort on one of the most beautiful vacation destinations on the East Coast. It is quiet, clean, comfortable and air-conditioned and within walking distance to town, best restaurants and shopping. Pool makes it perfect for a family with kids and laundry room is an added plus. Also great for older kids who can walk to town on their own.
Great location; walking distance from the ferry and the beach.
Doors to our unit did not properly lock so the maid service effectively left the room unlocked (for the whole day) because it is too hard to close the door. Management needs to check all units with double doors and have a carpenter shave/plane the working edges so they properly close/lock. There was no in-room safe so all valuables had to be stored at the front desk safe deposit box.
the location......the manager was very pleasant and helpful
room was very damp and the mold exacerbated my asthma.....the linens were not clean when I arrived....sheets were dank and limp (due to the humidity in the room?) as much as I like the location I will not be able to return unless something is done about the humidity and mold problem
Pool. Location between beach and town.
Room was fragranced to cover up smell of mildew. Electric outlets were hard to find: one didn't work.
Over priced, unfriendly staff and the room was dirty.
The location was great and the staff were very nice!
The rooms are a little run down. But nice for family friendly stay.
I liked the Beachside because of the close proximity to the town and beaches and the Continental breakfast. Also, it was nice having a pool.
There were too many teenagers making noise at a very late hour. Also, there were never enough towels or toilet paper. We had three people with us and there were only two towels when we arrived. We asked for more towels and the next day the maid took all of our towels and again left us with only 2. We had to constantly ask the receptionist to bring us those items.
The biggest asset of the Beachside was an employee named Telisha Cartwright. An excellent employee who saw to all our needs.
Needs new room furnishings
63 front desk staff upon arrival, super friendly
